The Epigraphy & Papyrology Lab (EREP Lab, ΦΕΚ Β701/16-3-2016) is housed in the offices 214 και 213 of the New Philosophy Building and the basic research equipment, in addition to PC’s, includes: squeeze-making tools (special filter-paper, brushes, and storage boxes), archives of squeezes and photographs, and an epigraphical library.

EREP’s educational and research goals are:

  • Teaching epigraphy and papyrology at all levels
  • Educational Programs in collaboration with museums, ephorates of antiquities, and schools
  • Creating Archives of ancient Greek and Latin inscriptions found in different regions of Greece by recording, studying, and publishing them
  • Maintenance of the collections of squeezes and photographs of inscriptions and papyri
  • Digital editions of published inscriptions in an online database
